Our History
The armored van program grew alongside the cash-in-transit (CIT) industry and later covered tactical demand from law enforcement and governmental entities. Currently, our product line includes luxury vans and Tactical models under POINTER for SWAT teams and the law enforcement community.
What We Build
ArmoredVans.com catalogs four van categories:

Tactical & Law Enforcement
The POINTER SWAT/APC on Ford Transit, the POINTER SWAT/APC on Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, and POINTER Mobile Command Centers.

Cash-in-Transit (CIT)
Armored Ford Transit CIT, GMC Savana, and Chevrolet Express builds for currency, jewelry, and pharmaceutical transport.

Executive & Passenger
Armored Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Mercedes-Benz Metris, Toyota Sienna, and Honda Odyssey for diplomats, executives, and family transport.

Export-Only Platforms
Armored Toyota HiAce and Toyota Coaster, available for international clients under ITAR and EAR export controls.
The full catalog of our vans is on the Armored Vans We Build page.
Who We Serve
Active and past clients include the US Department of State, the US Department of Homeland Security, the US Department of Justice, the General Services Administration, the United Nations, the World Bank, and the International Committee of the Red Cross. We also work with state and municipal law enforcement, private security firms, professional athletes, and Fortune 500 corporate security teams.
Dedicated industry pages cover law enforcement, government agencies, cash-in-transit, executive transport, professional athletes, and diplomatic and embassy clients.

How We Build
Every Alpine van is engineered around a tested armor package, not a retrofit. Our engineers strip each donor van to bare metal, install opaque armor cut from certified ballistic steel and lightweight composites, fit multi-layer ballistic glass matched to the steel rating, reinforce the floor against fragmentation where the package requires it, install run-flat tire inserts, upgrade the suspension and brakes to handle the added weight, and re-trim the interior to factory finish. Alpine test-fires panels from every armor package against the certified threat level before the van ships.
Standards & Compliance
Our custom-armored vans are tested and certified to international ballistic and blast standards. Materials and finished armor packages from level A4 to A12 that meet or exceed NIJ (US National Institute of Justice), CEN BR (European), STANAG (NATO), UL 752, VPAM, and DIN. Our specific protection levels run from A4 (handgun threats) through A12 (anti-materiel rounds).
We hold GSA Federal Supply Schedule 84 for law enforcement and security procurement, and we are registered with the US Department of State under ITAR and with the US Department of Commerce under EAR for controlled exports. We engineer federal fleet vans to GSA Form BIS-711 specifications.
For a full cross-reference of Alpine A4–A12 against NIJ, CEN, STANAG, and VPAM, see Ballistic Protection Levels Explained.

The ArmoredVehicles.com Group
ArmoredVans.com is part of the ArmoredVehicles.com group, the family of category-specific catalogs operated by Alpine Armoring. Each site is the dedicated catalog for a single vehicle category, built so buyers who already know the platform they need can skip the broader site and go directly to the relevant inventory. Alpine Armoring (operating as ArmoredVans.com, part of the ArmoredVehicles.com group) manufactures every vehicle in every catalog at the same Chantilly facility, to the same standards.
Get in Touch
To request a quote for a specific van, schedule a visit to the Chantilly facility, or discuss a platform specification, contact our sales team. Procurement officers, GSA buyers, and international inquiries are handled directly by senior staff.
“The protection is invisible from the outside.
The van looks and drives like any other. That is the point.”
