Each van starts as a standard production platform — Ford Transit, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Chevrolet Express, GMC Savana, Toyota HiAce, Toyota Coaster, Honda Odyssey, Toyota Sienna, or Mercedes-Benz Metris — and is armored in-house so the protection stays invisible from the outside and the vehicle drives as close as possible to original.
Protection is offered at Alpine levels A4 through A9, mapping to CEN B4 through B6+ and the corresponding NIJ and VPAM ratings. A4 stops handgun threats up to .44 Magnum and is common for corporate security. A6 defeats AK-47 and comparable rifle rounds at a lighter curb weight and is the typical choice for executive transport. A9 — the most-requested level for law enforcement — stops AR-15, 7.62×39, 7.62×51, and M80 ball, and includes floor protection against two DM51 hand grenades. Every armor package is live-fire tested and witnessed by an independent ballistic lab before the van ships.
